Sports Desk
The boys basketball team won their sectional final defeating Collinwood Saturday night. The boys will take on Madison in a district semi-final game on Thursday at Euclid. Game time is 7:15pm.
The wrestling team did very well in the state tournament with all wrestlers advancing to the second round. The big winner though was Dylan Zivcic who placed 5th in his weight class. Congrats to Coach Skilton and our wrestling team.
The girls basketball team won a district championship on Saturday defeating Mayfield by 18 points. The girls advance to the regional semi-finals at the Canton Civic Center tomorrow night for an 8pm game. They will play Wadsworth. Congrats to Coach Thompson and all the girls.
Lastly, our girls gymnastics team placed 4th in the state on Friday at the state gymnastics meet! Special mention goes out to Kayla Kosmeri who placed 5th on the bars in the individual competition on Saturday. Congrats to all the girls and to Coach Corrigan on a great meet!!
Tickets for both the boys and girls tournament games are available in the athletic office. Lets show our support to our kids!!

City of Mentor Day at Progressive Field
Join your neighbors in cheering on the Tribe at the City of Mentor Day at Progressive Field on Sunday, April 26, 2009!
The 1:05 p.m. game against the Minnesota Twins will feature a performance by Mentor High School's own Top 25, and all kids 14 and under will receive a Jhonny Peralta wristband/headband set and can run the bases post-game!
Tickets purchased in advance from Top 25 or the City are $2 off face value, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the performance group, now in its 44th year. Seats are located in the upper box section of Progressive Field, and may be purchased in any quantity for $18 each.

The group is also raffling off several suite packages for the game. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased by calling or e-mailing the above contacts.

2nd Prize: Fifth Third Suite (12 suite tickets) package
3rd Prize: Two complimentary club seats to a future 2009 game
