Student Government President
Andrew is the Student Government President this year. In
10th grade he served as the class president, and during his 11th grade year he served
as a philanthropy specialist.
The activities that he is involved in are Mock Trial
and National Honor Society. Outside of school Andrew likes to golf, play paintball, and
scuba dive.
Andrew's vision for Student Government is to create
an organization that is proactive and student driven.
Roles According to Constitution
According to Article I, Section 1.A.1 of the Mentor High School Student Government Constitution,
The President shall be the liaison with the administration for the student body. She or he shall attend or appoint someone to attend administrative meetings including PTSA meetings, calendar committee meetings, and all other committees requiring a student representative. The President shall work with the advisor and Vice President to appoint cabinet members including the Philanthropy Specialist, Corresponding Secretary, and Recording Secretary. She or he is also responsible for overseeing elections. The President shall have further powers, duties, and limitations as assigned by the Student Government.
