Mission Statement
Academic Decathlon is a ten-event scholarly competition devoted to a different theme every year. Recent themes have been The Renaissance, China, and The U.S. Civil war. Participants complete in math, art, music, language and literature, economics, essay, science, social science, speech and interview. Students recieve a 1500-1800 page curriculum resource guide in September, and the team meets weekly until the December scrimmage and state competition in March. Decathlon winners recieve medals and typically are well-supported as they enter college. See Mr. Snee in B109 for more information.
