Mission Statement
This is a group of students of mixed sexuality. The pride club is a place where it is ok to be openly gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or questioning. It is a place where all students-regardless of their sexual orientation-can "hang out" and feel comfortable. The pride club will openly and honestly explore GLBTQ issues in a mature and personal way. The primary focus will be on individual experiences and issues. Never-the-less, societal issues--from the small "society" of the classroom to the "society" of Mentor High School to the "society" of America--are seen as important to individual experiences and, therefore as appropriate, focuses for the group.
