Student Government Philanthropy Specialist
Student Government Experience: Kelsey Batey has been
involved in Student Government (aka Student Council) since 7th grade. In 10th grade, Kelsey was Sophomore Class Treasurer.
In addition to SG, Kelsey is a member of NHS, Spirit Club, and has run cross country since 7th grade. She likes watching TV and movies; her favorie shows include One Tree Hill, 90210, and her favorite movies are the High School Musical 1, 2, and 3. Kelsey also enjoys spending time with friends.
Roles According to Constitution
According to Article I, Section 1.A.3 of the Mentor High School Student Government Constitution,
The Philanthropy Specialist shall be responsible for administering a calendar of charitable events and shall be responsible for monetary charity drives in school. The Philanthropist shall have the power to appoint others to head charity drives within the school. In the absence of the President and Vice President, the Philanthropy Specialist shall preside over the Student Government meetings. The Philanthropy Specialist shall have further powers, duties, and limitations as assigned by the Student Government.
