The Vocal Chamber Ensemble is an auditioned group of singers who enjoy the study and performance of renaissaance madrigals & chansons, romantic period lieder and part-song, foreign languages, seasonal carols and vocal jazz-style selections, with three to four singers per part. Emphasis is on style and precision. Chamber Ensemble meets once a week. Approximately 5 to 10 performances will be scheduled over thecourse of the year. Audition and placement is based on tone quality, style, music reading ability, and the needs of the group.
