Academic Decathlon
Academic Decathlon is a premier, national academic competition in which students from high schools all around the nation compete in ten events involving the year's central theme. The ten disciplines include mathematics, Quiz Bowl, Speech, Essay, Literature, Science, Music, and more. The 2009-2010 topic is the French Revolution! Students prepare by reading a lengthy curriculum and discussing each of the 10 disciplines. Students also read a novel chosen by the national organizers.
