WELCOME
The Speech & Debate team teaches students to deliver speeches, debate issues, and interpret literature through participation in 11 tournaments beginning in October 31. Students compete against other teams from area high schools at weekly tournaments held on at different area high schools on Saturdays, a state tournament in March, and if they qualify, a national tournament in June. The team is open to anyone who wants to improve his/her public speaking ability, reeseach skills, or argumentation skills. Practice is held twice a week and on different days for different events. Some events are Student Congress Public forum, Original Oratory, and Humourous Interpetation. For more info get a flier from Mrs. Rodiger's door B-201.
