Volleyball: September 19, 2017

Today(Tuesday) we will be having a 'Rally for Ruhe' volleyball game to support Kris Ruhe and her fight against Adrenal Gland Cancer. Freshman/JV game @ 5:00 p.m. and Varsity at 6:30 p.m. T-shirt's can be purchased during lunch mods for $10. Wear your t-shirt to the game and you get in FREE! All of the money raised that night through t-shirt sales, Chinese auction, or 50/50 will be given to the Ruhe family.


Football: September 16, 2017

The Mentor Football Cardinals took a road trip and came away with a victory over the Strongsville Mustangs 42-27. The Cards (3-1) gave up the opening TD and then scored the next 4 TD's! The 4 scores came 4 touchdown runs of 2, 6, 1 and 2 yards by Chris Edmond. Later on, Tadas Tatarunas hit Logan Shea for a 13 yard TD. Tatarunas ended the Mentor scoring with his own score 5 yard score. Conor McIntosh was perfect on the night with 6 extra points. The Cards come home next week and take on the Brunswick Blue Devils on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 7:00 pm. GO CARDS!!!


Boys Soccer: September 13, 2017

The Boys Soccer teams will be hosting Kick for the Cure this Saturday, September 16th with boys games at 3pm, 5pm & 7pm vs Lake Catholic High School. In addition, there will be a bake sale and fabulous Chinese Raffle Baskets. Kick for the Cure t-shirts are being sold for $10 during lunch mods. Wear your t-shirt to the game and receive free admission to all the boys Kick for the Cure Games. So, purchase your t-shirt and come to the game to support our team and our cause!


Football: September 8, 2017

Mentor brought back the Glenville Tarblooders for a JTO visit after nearly a 10 year hiatus. Hard to believe it has been that long as it seems like yesterday we had those many games every year vs. Glenville. The Cards won big 38-15 improving their record to 2-1. Mentor was tied after 1 at 7-7 on a Chris Edmond 1 yard score. The Cards darted to the lead by half up 17-7 with a Tadas Tatarunas to Matt Hartmann 9 yard TD and a Conor McIntosh 39 yard field goal. Mentor kept the scoring in motion with 2 TD's in the 3rd quarter by Derek Kleinhenz (2 yard reception) and Hartmann (7 yard TD) giving the Cards a comfortable 31-7 lead. The teams traded scores in the final quarter leading to the 38-15 final. Mentor travels to Strongsville next on Friday, September 15th. Take the short road trip with us to see the Cards play the Mustangs. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm. GO CARDS!


Football: September 2, 2017

The Mentor Cardinals hosted the St. Ignatius Wildcats at the JTO on a brisk Friday evening and came up short in a 41-31 loss. The Cards (1-1) and Wildcats played an even first quarter with St. Ignatius leading 3-0. Then the scoring flood gates opened up. Mentor tied the game up at 10 but allowed the Wildcats to score twice before halftime to take a 24-10 lead into the half. Mentor staged a nice comeback in the 3rd quarter to only be down 31-24 going into the final quarter. But, St Ignatius scored twice in less than 5 minutes in the 4th quarter to control the rest of the game. The Cards host another home game next week when the Glenville visits the JTO on Friday, September 8th at 7:00 pm. See you there! GO CARDS!

The Mentor Cardinals kicked off the season with an impressive 49-14 road victory. The start was not so impressive when the Cards went three and out on their opening drive for 0 yards. Massillon took the punt and eventually scored in the first 1:30 of the game. Then the Cardinal hurricane found land. Mentor scored the next 4 TD's taking the lead 28-7 and never looked back. After a Massillon score, the Cards scored the final 3 TD's giving them the 49-14 win. Chris Edmond led all rushers with 18 carries for 131 yards including 2 rushing TD's. QB, Tadas Tatarunas was 16-24 for 185 yards while also adding 67 yards on the ground. Tatarunas had a rushing TD and threw for 2 other scores. Logan Shea and Derek Kleinhenz were on the receiving end of those TD tosses. Nick Saginario and Luke Floriea each had a rushing TD on the evening. The kicking game was perfect with Conor McIntosh and Sophie Kaplan connecting on all extra points. Special: May 19, 2017

Help support local victims of sexual abuse! May 15-19 bring in new clothing, such as t-shirts or socks, and various toiletry supplies, like toothbrushes or soap, and drop them in the student center during lunch mods! Everything that is collected will be donated to local emergency rooms. When sexual assault victims are admitted to the hospital, all of their clothing and belongings are taken from them for examination. Be a part of something special!


Boys Lacrosse: May 8, 2017

Support your boys Lacrosse team - free lacrosse T-shirts will be given out to the first 50 students who come to our home game against Solon on Tuesday: Varsity at 7 pm and JV at 5 pm.
