Science Fair Winners
Three juniors competed at the University of Akron in March. Two of them made it to the State Science Day in Columbus.
On May 7, 2005 Megan Cochran and Kristin Welch competed in Columbus and represented us well.
Megan earned a superior from the Ohio Academy of Science for her project titled: The effect of heart rate and age on the battery life of a pacemaker
She also earned first place recognition from the Ohio Nurses Association worth $200 and second place recognition from Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health worth $250.
Kristin Welch earned an excellent from the Ohio Academy of Science for her project titled: The effects of home foundation type and the year the home was built on radon levels in the home. She also earned an honorable mention from the Governor's Award for Excellence in Environmental Protection Research worth $100 and she earned first place recognition from the Ohio Valley Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association worth $1000.
