Any student interested in participating in Mentor Theatre next year should plan on attending one of the informational meetings on Wednesday, May 14th, in A-Lecture at 2:35 and 7:00 pm. If you cannot attend either meeting, see Mr. Green in C-1 as soon as possible.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Student Government is looking for interested, dedicated students looking to take a leadership role in their school. if you would like to be considered for one of many appointed positions, complete an application from Mr. Couch in F-2 today.
Students who are planning on taking the June 14th ACT test are reminded that the registration deadline is TODAY, Friday May 9th. This means that registration materials must be post-marked by today at the latest. The same deadline applies for online registration and re-registration by phone. Registration materials can be obtained in A-19--the Guidance Office.
Drivers' Ed classes will be held at MHS in June, July and August. The first Summer class begins Monday, June 9 at 9:00 a.n. in B Lecture. Pick up a flyer at the bookstore for information.
Info about MHS mascot tryouts for the 08-09 seasons is now available in the athletic office. Students must complete and return the forms contained in the information packer to the athletic office and sign up for a tryout time no later than 3:00 p.m.. May 12th.
Attention Flag Football lovers: The Powderpuff Football game today is canceled. However, we will be having a voluntary game on the practice football field across from the stadium at 5-7pm in place of it today. It is free and anyone is welcome to come. Junior & Senior girls are welcome to jump in and play if they arrive at 4 pm.
Starting Monday, May 12th, MHS will sponsor an Intramural Tennis League. Students can play singles or doubles or both. Tennis will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You don't have to play each day, come when you can. Tennis will take place at the Civic Center Tennis Courts. Starting at 2:45 pm and end at approx. 4 pm. Registration forms can be picked up in the Gym, A-19, or on the MHS webpage. Forms must be turned into Mr. Quigney in A-19 by May 9th.
Do you enjoy sports? Are you thinking about a career in medicine, physical therapy, or athletic training? Then become and athletic trainer at MHS! Student trainers can earn a varsity letter as well as community service hours needed for graduation by assisting the athletic teams with their medical needs. See Ms. Lutz in the athletic office this week and get an application. Don't miss out!!!
Attention Current 10th and 11th graders: If you have at least a 3.0 GPA and want ti be a 6th grade camp counselor next year, you must attend one of 2 meetings with Mr. Spiccia on Wednesday, May 21st in B-Lecture. The meetings are 7:00 AM or 2:30 PM. You will get information and an application at the meeting, so be sure to attend.
All students attending Prom are reminded that they are to enter from the rear door of Cappellis. Students are also reminded that all school rules apply at Prom.
