I am a 1987 graduate, but I did not graduate from Mentor high. I went to Garfield Elementary from K-6 (I still remember Mrs Bennet, Mr. and Mrs. Lagerstedt, and Nr. Namestnik). I moved on to Memorial Junior High School for 7th grade. Then during the summer of 1982, my family and I moved to Tennessee... I was hoping to be able to locate some old friends of mine at this site, but so far, no luck. Does anyone know anything about Amy Roediger, Kris Johnson (Wilder), John Higgins, Russell Conley, ...? If so, please let me know.

I just want to say THANK YOU to Kathy Noll and her friend for writing the bully book. While I was going to Mentor High, I sure wish that book was around, since I was called "water buffalo", "orka", and "fat pig" just to mention a few things. I am now no longer a geek.........so all the bullies that called me names, need to read Kathy's book.....maybe you'll all realize how mean you were and now 20 years later, it has still had an effect on me. Hey everybody from Class of 86! This is really cool. I stumbled on this site by accident. After graduating, I went to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. From there I ended up in Newport, RI at Officer Candidate School - yes I joined the Navy! I got smart and left active duty, but I still in the Reserves as a Lieutenant. I now work as a Management Analyst for the Navy. I now live in San Diego, CA with my husband, Robert and my two daughter's Brittany, 6, and Stephanie, 4. Stephanie is getting ready to start kindergarten and Brittany will be in 2nd grade. Both girls are in gymnastics at the YMCA. I actually got out my clarinet on Sunday and believe it or not, it still works (me too!). If anyone has any idea where Debra and Donna Repasky are, let me know. I will be in Kentucky at my parents house in August and would like to get in touch. Anyone from Class of 86 or is a band weenie like me, send me an e-mail. It will be great hearing from you all. I was recently in Mentor and drove by the high school. The enormous building attached to the front of the school amazed me. It’s been a few years since I’d been back. Having travel extensively since graduating in 1982, I can honestly say I’ve never seen any facility like that associated with a high school. I was very impressed. I am a 1970 graduate. Besides pastoring a large congregation I am also the director of foreign missions for Christian Fellowship Ministries. This has taken me to Africa, South America, Haiti, and Sri Lanka just to name a few countries/continents that I have had the privilege to minister in. This High school is really big. I don't think I've ever heard of one so big. We are moving to Mentor in July 98 and my kids will be in 10th and 11th grades. Hello eveyone in Mentor High! Especially Lisa Gommersal and all teachers who have teached me during my exchange-year 94-95. I'´m doing good though I gratuated from my Finnish High School last spring and since August I´ve been working as a teachers assistant in elementar school. I´ve also been taking classes from University. I´m doing all this because I need some credits to get in the school where I can study to become a teacher. I have only good memories about Mentor High especially from the lunch room. Does that lady with the platted outfit still work there? She was nice. Did not say anything even though I always took some exra ketschup. I gotta go now though the schooldoors will be shut in anytime and I really don´t want to have a sleep-over all alone in a schoolbilding.

Chemistry is the most fascinating subject taught at your school. Most of the teachers at your school wouldn't agree with this statement (and probably shouldn't!). But I'll bet that your chemistry teacher does. And I'll bet that he/she wishes that more of his students did too, at least during the time he spends with them in class. As for my life, I have recently gotten married (my maiden name was Christine Waller). After high school I went on to graduate from Lake Erie College in Painesville with a Bachelor's in Communications, minor in English, and am currently in the field of public relations/ editing. I met my husband at Lake Erie College, and I also attended Bowling Green State University for one year. Haven't been back to Mentor in quite some time. Last time I was back I had fly home due to a death in my family. I was hoping to locate some old friends that I'd lost touch with over the years. I never attended MHS but if I did I would have graduated in 91. I was looking for some friends that went to grade school at St. Mary's in Painesville. I'm not sure if that school is still in existence it feels like an eternity since I've been back there . I'm not sure who would remember me but I thought I'd leave a message and wait and see what became of it. By the way I did live in Mentor for about 6 years and those were mostly cherished moments before I started moving around quit often. Thanks and keep up the good work in Mentor.
