Dollars for Darfur is a fundraising program High Schools are participating in across the nation.
It is rasing money for the Save Darfur organization who are a group of people trying to help save the people of Darfur. They are experiencing Genocide from the Sudanese Army and a milita backed by the Sudanese goverment. The people of Darfur are suffering from rape, starvation, and murder by the hundreds on a daily basis. If you would like to learn more and contribute to this good cause please click here. Ice Hockey
Congratulations to MHS Varsity Hockey for their 5-3 VICTORY over Hudson! Even after a very intense third peiod, our boy were still able to prevail. The next state play off game is this Saturday, 2/24 at KSU at 2:00pm against Walsh Jesuit.

Gymnastics
The gymnastics team placed second at the gymnastics sectionals Saturday qualifying them for the District competition on Saturday February 24th at West Geauga High School in Chesterland. Competition begins at 11 AM

Figure Skating Team
The Mentor High School Figure Sakting Team won 2nd place overall in the 2007 Ohio High School Team Figure Skating Competition on Sunday, February 18, 2007. In addition, they won first place in the Team Spirit event. The Mentor team tied with Lake Catholic for first place in the spins events and won first place in the showcase event. The competition was held yesterday at Pavilion Ice Arena in Cleveland Heights.
The girls on the Mentor High Figure Skating Team from Mentor High School are seniors Alex Stanley and Kelly Weber and sophomores Allie Gamber, Colleen Higgins and Heather Langguth. Be sure to congratulate them!

Have any old Prom dresses? Girl Scout Troop 1152 and the Thea Bowman Center are collecting dresses to donate to the inner-city Cleveland girls for their prom.

Science Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to Mrs. Becky Haller, a biology teacher at Wickliffe High School, and wife of Detective Haller, for winning the Lubrizol Science teacher of the year award. Also, congratulations to our own Mr. Ramsey for achieving runner-up and also receiving a $500.00 reward for the Science Olympiad team.
