The Mentor Football Redline Club

The Mentor Football Redline Club is a group of dedicated parents, friends, football enthusiasts, and supporters of the Mentor Football Program, which represents athletes from grades 7 through 12, who have united together to support the program and its activities. The Club supports the entire Mentor Football Program of approximately 425 athletes from all three of the Mentor Middle Schools and the High School. Through membership, donations, sponsors and fund raising efforts, The Mentor Football Redline Club has been able to provide needed products and services that would not be otherwise available.

The Mentor Football Redline Club was founded in 1988 by a group of local businessmen. Through their combined efforts the varsity weight room facility, which is used today by all Mentor High School athletic teams, was constructed and equipment furnished. Now the Club is a parent run organization.

Meetings are held every Monday or Tuesday during the Ohio High School Football season at 7:30 pm at a local designated restaurant. The meetings include an analysis of the game films and updates on football activities. The Club meets during the off season as needed for planning purposes for the upcoming season.

Major Accomplishments

The Redline Club works as a volunteer organization with all fundraising proceeds going directly to the Mentor Football Program. The Mentor Football Redline Club is proud to have contributed the following in support of the Mentor Football Program:

  • Constructed and equipped weight room - completely upgraded
  • Game day shirts and hats (yearly)
  • Workout shirts and shorts (yearly)
  • Camp picnics (yearly)
  • Pre-game meals
  • (2) College Scholarships (yearly)
  • (7) man blocking sleds
  • Camp shirts
  • Video editing system and supplies
  • The "Cardinal" in the center of the new field turf
  • Team banquets
  • Buses to playoff games and competitions
  • Parent Appreciation Night

If you have a football player, cheerleader, or athletic trainer in grades 7 through 12 or are simply a football enthusiast, this Club is for you. The yearly membership fee is $25 per family and is 100% tax deductible.
