The Top 25 Show Choir is a select group of students from the Choral Music Department at Mentor
High School. The singers are chosen by audition in the spring for their singing, dancing and performance
abilities.
The Show Choir was founded in 1965 and is now in its thirty-seventh year of performances
serving Lake County and the northeastern areas of Ohio. The group performs regularly for community
events, schools, church organizations, banquets, business meetings and at festivals in northeast Ohio.
Though the group has been around for 37 years it is in only its third year of competing. Last year
they won Grand Champions in the FAME competition in Branson, MO.
Performing tours in the United States have included travel to major cities on the east coast, west coast,
and in between. They have traveled to Canada, Mexico, and many European countries, including Scandinavia,
England, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and most recently
an eight day performance cruise in the Bahamas.
Top 25 is under the direction of Dr. Keith E. Touchton, Distric Music Coodinator. They are also under the
assistant direction of Tara Tober and are choregraphed by Mike Weaver.
